How does the pH level of swimming pool water affect your pool?
The pH level indicates how acidic or alkaline the water is at a given point in time. Maytronics recommends aiming for a pH level of between 7.2 and 7.6. As the pH level rises the effectiveness of chlorine dramatically reduces leading to a higher chance of a green pool.
What factors effect pH levels?
Some of the many factors that can affect your pool’s pH level include heavy rain, the number of swimmers in the pool and chemicals.
